We put together a pretty good meet against Emory Saturday. It was a nice way to send our eight seniors out before a good crowd on our annual Senior Day. Congratulations to those seniors:
Noah Copeland, Caroline Jones, Chris Lee, Mickey Malul, Andy Miller, Kevin Skenes, Mauricio Sousa and Greg Tunning
Part of the excitement Saturday, too, was the fact that we had nine men competing to make the last two spots on our ACC travel team. Several of those guys stepped up and went lifetime best times, making the coaching staff's decision that much more difficult.
A quick note regarding Mauricio Sousa: he swam the 50 freestyle in his last dual meet as a Yellow Jacket Saturday and finished his senior season undefeated in the event. In fact, The Jackets were not only undefeated in the event this year (Garrett Robberson won at FAU), but with the exception of Clemson and Emory where we went 1-2, we went 1-2-3 at every other meet, including ACC rivals FSU and VT.
